“Uri saranghagiro haeyo…. “
You ended in sync with his voice. His husky, warm, strong voice overshadowed your, now, meek voice. You felt him grab your hand and pull you into a hug. He swiftly whispered, “Smile.” Into your ear sending cold shivers down your spine. You pulled away and flashed him a carefree smile. This facade you put up was just as much for him as it was for the audience. You wanted him to see that you were fine. That those scars etched in your heart had finally healed. That you were doing fine without him but once again it didn’t faze him. He was to busy talking to his adoring crowd. “Hey! I’m Lee JaeMin! Thank you guys for coming out here to give us your support!” You could care less about his long-winded speech and automatically tuned out. Not waiting to be excused off stage you, you slowly begin to make your way past the guitarist and drummer. Once off stage that sense of relief couldn’t come sooner, instead you were frustrated with yourself because you had given up and walked away. Annoyed because you felt as if he had won just now.
“Damn it…” you whispered to yourself.
“Did you mess up? Cause you sounded really good to me.” You wiped around, shaken by the unfamiliar voice.
‘Uhh, No” you smiled at the group of three boys that stood before you.
“I liked your version of our song.” The boy with long hair said.
You pressured your lips, “Your song…” you quickly ran through the list of songs you sang that…”Uhmm… Like Crazy by 2AM…” your eyes flashed towards them, they in turn scrunched their faces in a cute little kid way. “Oh there was Lies by C.N. Blue.”
“Yeah, That’s us!” One of the boys exclaimed. You couldn’t help but give him skeptical look. They looked like a bunch of normal clubbers dressed in tones of black, navy, grey and white.
“Yah! What are you doing? Hitting on girls!” Another boy shouted as he walked towards them.
“Well if you already knew what we were up to, why bother asking” the long haired boy smirked.
“Were here to support our Dongsaengs, not to get numbers” he played along.
You stared at them all together and listened to them carefully as they made playful remarks to one another, then it hit you. “Oh! Your Yong Hwa, That’s Jung Shin, Min Hyuk and Jong Hyun. I’m really sorry I didn’t recognize you.” you exclaimed.
“That’s fine.” Yong Hwa said, “We just wanted to say you really own that crowd out there, we even felt captivated. Each song sound really original and they really suited you.”
“Thanks,” You say once again, “But I think you should be saving your compliments for your dong-” You were cut short by a familiar squeal, and tackle down by an enormous amount of weight.
“My little dreamer! You were great!” your Eonni shouted, as she continued to hug you tightly. You smiled to yourself, replying back with a wholehearted hug.
“Are you ok? No headaches? Fuzziness?” Your Oppa asked wearing a concern look on his face, as he loomed over you and his girlfriend. You shook your head from side to side, wearing a warm smile on your face
“Honestly I felt like my heart was gonna burst. But it’s great to be back, everything sounds and feels the same. Same raging crowd, same heated stage light. It’s the faces I saw… All those smiles.. The way they swayed back and forth with me. I thought I’d never see it again.” You looked up at him as he smiled a sigh of relief, while he reached over and ruffled your hair gingerly messing up your bangs. You pushed his hand away defensively and looked away. You muttered a quiet “Sorry” ashamed at how rude you reacted. He inturn quickly changed the subject. Shifting his attention to Yong Hwa and the others.
“Looks like our little dreamer has some fans.” He teased. Your gaze fell back on Yong Hwa, a sense of fluster and embarrassment build up inside forcing you back on you feet.
“Actually,” you began, glad that your voice sounded even. “They’re here to support their Dongsaengs, Jae Min.” you whispered his name unconsciously.
“Speak of the devil.” you hear your Eonni muttered venomously, as Jae Min approached them. He barely laid an eye on you, as he brushed pass you, focusing wholeheartedly on his Hyung.
“Hyung Nim, Its a pleasure to finally meet you. Sun Min said you’d be back here, I honestly didn’t believe him.” He smiled, as he reached out to shake each members hand.
“I’m going home, I got a slight headache.” you lied, seeing this as an opportunity to get out. “Get my guitar for at the end of the show?” You ask your Eonni.
“Sure,” She smiled, “And while I’m at it, I’ll deliver that knuckle sandwich Jae Min order two years ago.” You chuckle quietly at her sarcastic remark, knowing fully well that they were more then just words to her.
“Yah! I don’t want you calling me at 4 in the morning, cause I’m not gonna bail your butt out of jail!” You retaliated quickly.
“Your my Dongsaeng, I’d go to jail for you any day.” She said, while she rumpled her hair.
“Oppa I sometime don’t see what you like about my Eonni.”
“Sometimes I don’t either.” He laughed, kissing the top of his girlfriend’s forehead. “Want me to get you a taxi?”
“Nahh I got it.” You said as you walked away, “See ya.” You hadn’t place much distance between yourself and the crowd, when you heard him call out for you.
“Yah! Hey girly!” You turn back to look at Yong Hwa. “What’s your name?”
“Dreamer,” you replied with your nickname. He quickly closed the distance between you and took out his cell. Handing it to you. You looked at him and back at his cell.
“Can I have your cell.” You without a thought, reach into your pocket and pulled it out, handing it to him. He quickly tapped his number into you cell and pressed call. Soon his cell was singing, “Hey You!”, The screen read your number. He quickly snatched it from your hand, replacing it with you cell. Leaving you dumbfound and with his number in your phone.
“Next time your opening up for me.” He smiled as he captured a picture of you, saving it into his contacts as: Dreamer.
